Reglerne er lige vigtige, hver for sig og samlet. Når du læser dem igennem, så prøv at tænke på, at det faktisk kun drejer sig om almindelig høflighed og respekt, og om at arbejde på at blive bedre – både til karate og som menneske.

1. Hitotsu! Jinkaku kansei ni tsutomuru koto! 

 At søge den perfekte karakter.

Det vigtigste i Karate er hverken sejr eller nederlag, men udvikling af den udøvendes karakter.

2. Hitotsu! Makoto no michi o mamoru koto! 

At forsvare sandhedens vej.

At være trofast eller loyal er en vigtig kvalitet at besidde.

3. Hitotsu! Doryoku no Seishin o yashinau koto! 

At stræbe videre.

Arbejd hele tiden på at forbedre dine teknikker og tænk altid på om du nu også yder en optimal indsats under træningen.

4. Hitotsu! Reigi o omonzuru koto! 

Altid at være høflig.

Respekter andre og vær altid høflig og opfør dig ordentligt.

5. Hitotsu! Kekki no yu o imashimuru koto! 

At undgå overmod.

Vær ikke voldelig i din optræden eller aggressiv og tab ikke hovedet under træningen.
